Danum Gallery, Museum and Library. We will be calling here for a break on the journey up to Scarborough. There is a cafe, art gallery and, on the lower ground floor, visitors can explore Doncaster’s fascinating rail history. This area is home to the Rail Heritage Centre, featuring some of the Doncaster Grammar School Rail Collection.
Robert E Fuller Gallery. Robert E Fuller is one of Britain’s leading wildlife artists. He is also a passionate conservationist who combines his art with work to preserve the animals and birds he owes his livelihood to. We will spend Saturday morning here, where you can experience the wild through art, film, live animal nest cameras and more at his Yorkshire gallery.
Nostell Priory. Our stop off on the journey home to Stafford, is one of the grandest houses in Northern England.. The Georgian house is home to a huge collection, including six of the “125 Treasures” explored in the Trust’s recent book, including their globally-renowned dolls’ house, one of the first long case clocks made by John Harrison, and a world-class collection of Chippendale furniture.
